Who we are

The Concord Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 39-3210131). This notice covers concord-project.org.

What we collect

We collect only what you send us through the two forms on this site.

  • Contact form. The form collects your name, your email address, your organization if you give it, the reason you are contacting us, and your message.
  • Expert roster. The form collects your contact details, location, languages, expertise, experience, availability, CV, two references, and your disclosure of partisan roles, campaign work, and conflicts of interest.

This site does not use cookies, advertising, analytics, or tracking scripts, and it does not load code or fonts from other websites. Like every web host, ours keeps short-lived server logs, including IP addresses, to run and protect the service.

How we use it

  • We use contact form messages to reply to you.
  • We use roster applications to review your application, which includes contacting your references and checking your disclosures, and to contact you about assessments.

We do not sell your information. Joining the roster does not put your name on this website. Public listing is opt-in, and we will ask you first.

Where it is kept

Form submissions and CVs are received by our website host, Netlify, Inc., which processes them on our behalf, and a notification is sent to our organizational email. We copy what we need into our own records.

Who we share it with

We share your information only in these cases:

  • If we propose you for an assessment that a partner institution is co-leading, we share the relevant parts of your roster profile with that partner.
  • The service providers that host this site and our email handle it on our instructions only.
  • We disclose it where the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

  • Messages. We delete messages from the form service within 90 days, once they are copied into our records, and we keep them for up to two years.
  • Roster applications. We keep roster applications while the roster is in use, or until you ask us to remove yours. We ask roster members to refresh their profiles once a year.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete what you have sent us at any time. Write to info@concord-project.org and we will reply within 30 days.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
